Free Orchard Management Workshop

At this workshop, participants will learn recommended tree fruit varieties for our region. We will also demonstrate and discuss best practices for producing an abundance of quality fruit, including thinning and sucker removal. Everyone will come away with a better understanding of how to successfully grow tree fruit in our region.

The event will be held at FOOD For Lane County’s Youth Farm where we reduce hunger by engaging our community to grow food, learn skills and work together. We invite you to stay after the workshop and tour the farm and find out more about our program.

We recommend dressing warm and with boots in case of rain and mud.
