Summer Food Program Details

Youth who are 18 years or younger are eligible to receive summer meals; young children must be accompanied by an adult. Meals must be eaten on-site to ensure food safety. We serve cold meals because they are healthier and safer; this allows us to serve fresh items like fruits and vegetables while reducing the risk of foodborne illness.

Cereal for Youth is a school-based program that’s a school-based program and a partnership of Attune Foods, 8th Avenue Food & Provisions, GloryBee, Grain Millers and Food for Lane County. This collaboration creates a nutritious cereal that’s distributed by local schools and organizations that serve youth, ages 18 and younger across Lane County. If you’re a representative of a school that would like access to this program, contact us.

Intended for children in elementary school, the Snack Pack Program provides participating schools with gallon-sized zip lock bags full of snacks to give to kids to eat over the weekend. The foods in our Snack Packs are kid-friendly, shelf-stable, single-serving items — granola bars, raisins, mac-and-cheese and instant oatmeal — that are easy to prepare. Due to limited resources, however, we are not adding new schools to the program at this time.
