Oregonians are not hungry because there is not enough food. Oregonians are hungry because they cannot afford to buy a sufficient supply of nutritious food. One in five people in Lane County depends on FOOD for Lane County to help them fill the meal gap when times are hard. Nearly one in three Lane County children ate from a food box at least once last year. Almost half of the people we serve are working. More than half are children, seniors or disabled.
