FOOD for Lane County welcomes produce donations. If you have fruit trees or a garden that produces more than you can use, you may bring it to us directly. Our warehouse is located at 770 Bailey Hill Road in Eugene. Please call (541) 343-2822 for warehouse hours. Or call us to find the food pantry nearest you. They may be able to accept your donation directly.
If you are a commercial grower with unharvested or unsold produce and would like to donate your produce to FOOD for Lane County, call us to discuss options.
Oregon allows a tax credit to commercial growers for crops donated to a gleaning cooperative, food bank or other charitable organization engaged in the distribution of food without charge. The organization receiving the donation must have a principal or ongoing purpose of distribution of food to children or homeless, unemployed, elderly, or low-income individuals. The organization must be located in Oregon and be exempt from federal income taxes under the Internal Revenue Code.
