Volunteers keep Gardens growing

Volunteers donated more than 12,000 hours at GrassRoots Garden in 2003. Volunteers are the core of the Gardens program, donating 18,000 hours of labor and skill to all three gardens each year. Volunteers come from a range of backgrounds and organizations, including youth service programs, social service agencies, churches, school groups, corporate groups and retired professionals.
