Demand for emergency food assistance in 2002-2003 increased 18 percent over the previous year. Many local businesses and organizations step up with food, funds and in-kind donations to help FOOD for Lane County meet the increased demand. Their generous support allows us to focus more resources on meeting the emergency food requirements of our neighbors in need, as well as tackling long-range solutions to hunger and self-sufficiency.
