- 1975 — The Interagency Food Bank was established to serve as a central collection anddistribution point for donated food in the Portland metropolitan area of Clackamas, Multnomah and Clark counties.
- 1979 — Community partners came together to establish Oregon Food Share. The nation’s first private, nonprofit, statewide food bank formed a network whereby charitable food providers throughout Oregon could share ideas and food resources. By 1983, Oregon Food Share was coordinating food distribution to 225 helping agencies through 19 regional food banks.
- 1984 — FOOD for Lane County was founded.
- 1988 — The Interagency Food Bank and Oregon Food Share merged to become Oregon Food Bank.
