FOOD for Lane County network
addresses hunger at home

Through creative community partnerships, FOOD for Lane County works toward both short- and long-term solutions to hunger and food insecurity that involve the support of our community and preserve the dignity of all people.

No one agency can address the growing need for emergency food assistance in Lane County. That is why FOOD for Lane County partners with more than 100 programs and social service agencies located throughout the county to provide emergency and supplemental food to more than one in five Lane County residents. This diverse network allows FOOD for Lane County to move a large portion of food to the people who need it in every geographical area of the county.

The support we receive from our donors increases our capacity to support this critical network of services. By sustaining our mission, our donors are helping extend the resources of these agencies.

FOOD for Lane County dedicates most of its resources and to emergency programs serving clients with an immediate need. These programs include food box pantries, meal sites and emergency shelters. In addition, FOOD for Lane County operates four internally sponsored supplemental food programs, Extra Helping, Rural Delivery, Healthy Futures and Gleaning and provides supplemental food to more than 60 programs and agencies, helping individuals and families stretch their food dollars.
